summer holidays
the summer holidays are always a bit strange: 6-9 weeks of freedom when you're at school, then like 3 months from Uni. But the workers get a rough deal: 4 weeks holidays a year or something.
I'm not sure where I'm going with this, but perhaps I'm just nostalgic for the easy summers we had when we were in primary school and were content just to play in the park, run around like savages, be the free children we were. somewhere along the line, we lost that mindset, we thought we need to earn money, we can't just enjoy the summer months, bath in the sun, run around in stupid swimsuits and play in the backgarden with water guns. No, we've gotta go to work. Begrudge our families the time spend with them, moan about work and missing the weather with our friends instead of having picnics and making the most of the evenings..
so, who wants to go for a picnic? anyone?
enjoy your summers.
this was my most random post to date.
just thought you should all know that.

I'll have a picnic, definitely :) Anyday!
Some people say that the happiest possible life is one without any responsiblility, so it's easy in that respect to think that our younger years our also our happiest, but then hindsight is a wonderful thing. You just gotta think, what would you prefer, a summer of responsibility, but with the capacity to enjoy, love and respect things in your life, or a life without responsibility but where you take most things for granted and can't cherish them. It's all a balance I suppose, in our favour I think.
